A Day at the Champlain Valley Festival

Welcome to "one of the front-porch friendliest festivals in the region" (Boston Globe). Here are some photos from the past few years to give you a feel for this great weekend of traditional music and dance.

Welcome to the Champlain Valley Folk Festival at Kingsland Bay State Park.	Festivalgoers enjoy music at the open air Lakefront Stage, while others take a dip in the lake.

The W'Abenaki Dancers invite members of the audience to join in a traditional Native dance.	Musicians gather under a tree for some impromptu picking and fiddling.

Mike Seeger performs a set on the Dining Hall stage.	Vermont's "First Lady of Folk" Margaret MacArthur plays mountain dulcimer.
Roots music band The Mammals perform on the Main Stage.	Vermont fiddler Pete Sutherland is joined by Quebecois guitarist André Marchand.
The Canadian band The Bills were a big hit at the minimally amplified Theater stage.	Irish step dancers are accompanied by music from the Vermont band Fellow Traveler.
Patti Casey sings lead vocals with the Vermont Bluegrass Gospel Project.	Since their CVF appearance, The Bills have gone on to national acclaim.
Festivalgoers enjoy great music and the scenic view at the open air Lakefront Stage.	Ottawa fiddler April Verch drew praise for her virtuosity, and her great step dancing!
Contra dancers enjoy dancing on the wooden floor of the Dance tent.	Musical icon Richie Havens on the Main Stage.
